Brother Launches Comprehensive Relief and Recovery Plan for 10,000+ Flood Victims in Southern Thailand — Offering Free Repairs Across 9 Provinces and Special Financial Aid for Impacted Employees
Bangkok, 23 December 2025 – Brother Commercial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese printing solutions provider, has announced the success of its urgent relief mission to support residents in Southern Thailand following the recent major flood crisis. The company has partnered with Prince of Songkla University (PSU) to support evacuation centers caring for over 10,000 flood victims. As the situation begins to stabilize, Brother is transitioning into a comprehensive recovery phase through its “Brother Side by Side: Flood Relief” initiative. This project offers free labor for repairs and significant discounts on spare parts across nine southern provinces, alongside a dedicated emergency budget to assist affected employees in repairing their homes, ensuring a swift return to normalcy and a restored quality of life.
The widespread flooding in Hat Yai District, Songkhla, and neighboring provinces prompted Brother to mobilize resources for immediate, targeted emergency relief. The company donated 100,000 baht to the Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Flood Relief Center, the largest shelter in the region, which accommodated up to 14,000 evacuees at its peak. This contribution supported holistic care for the victims, including food, clothing, shelter, communication systems, and medical services at the university’s field hospital. As water levels recede and residents return home, PSU is transitioning to a recovery phase in collaboration with government agencies, such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) and Provincial Administrative Organizations (PAO), to support vulnerable groups and rehabilitate local communities.
Recognizing the challenges of the post-flood recovery period, Brother has implemented urgent policies to alleviate financial burdens and restore the well-being of both customers and employees through the following measures:
