Brother helps entrepreneurs brace for “Digital Disruption” at the seminar event on “Turn Economic Crisis into Opportunities: Do or Die.”
Brother Commercial (Thailand) Ltd. is an official sponsor for the seminar on “Turn Economic Crisis into Opportunities: Do or Die” to encourage Thai entrepreneurs to turn the current economic crisis into business opportunities, and to face challenges and risks from new technologies and digital business, or digital disruption, to efficiently navigate their businesses through risk factors that come from technological changes.
Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, delivered a special speech on the topic “Turning the crisis on creating the Thai economy: Do or Die” advising entrepreneurs to develop business models that are in line with the Thailand 4.0 policy, to create a balance between HI and AI to make the Thai society a knowledge sharing society, to wisely increase professional skills, to incorporate technology into business, and to improve service quality in order to strengthen the economy.
The following session was “Brave the Digital Tsunami: Create Business Opportunities,” a talk by 3 experts led by Mr. Teerawut Supapanpinyo, Managing Director of Brother Commercial (Thailand) Ltd, Mr. Pochara Arayakarnkul, CEO of Bluebik Group Co., Ltd and Digital Transformation Strategic Consultant, and Dr. Anuchit Anuchitanukul, Head of Process and Product Improvement and Alternative Channels Group of Kiatnakin Bank PCL., who shared their perspectives on the current economic picture, pointed out problematic areas, gave an overview market analysis, and revealed techniques on how to make a difference and increase a competitive edge by using technology as the core strategy.
The afternoon session started with a talk by Mr. Pongphan Surawatcharoen, Senior Marketing Manager, Brother Commercial (Thailand) Ltd., on the topic of “Business Solutions for Transformation.” The talk focused on how to use technology to create new experiences for customers, improve work process, and develop new business models or products that best answer the needs of the target group at the right place and the right time.
The event was concluded with the last lecture “Technology Storm and Business Transformation,” which ignited positive energy. As the competition turns cruel, businesses that are too slow to change will be defeated. This talk was given by Prof. Dr. Suchatchavee Suwansawas, President (Acting) of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, who explained the impact that digital disruption had on business, how to turn the era of destruction into an era of creativity, how to spark new ideas and look at business competition from the present to the future, and how to analyze risk factors so that one can stand firm in a competitive market.
All of the talks were well attended by a large number of entrepreneurs from various businesses. This is another useful activity that Brother helped organize to help Thai entrepreneurs thrive in the digital era.
