The application is open from September 26, 2019 on www.brotherbeatcancerrun.com.

Mr. Teerawut Supapanpinyo, Managing Director of Brother Commercial (Thailand) Ltd. said that the “Brother Beat Cancer Run 2019” activity is a part of the company’s CSR activities to aid disadvantaged cancer patients in the Adult Hematologic Malignancy Fund of Ramathibodi Hospital. The activity is an extension of Brother’s Global Charter to improve local communities, under the “Golden Ring” project organized by Brother Headquarters Japan. Up to now, the activity has been receiving a positive response from participants in many sectors.

“Because cancer is the number one cause of death for Thai people today, and we are losing more and more people each year. Brother recognizes the gravity of the situation and wants to

alleviate the problem. That is why we have been continuously providing support to the fund for the last 5 years,” said the managing director. “Those who participate in the “Brother Beat Cancer

Run 2019” charity event, in addition to helping cancer patients, will be able to improve their health as well. Therefore, I would like to invite everyone who is interested to participate in this activity.

Throughout the past 5 years, Brother has been able to raise up to 5,478,187 baht of donation and has helped over 240 cancer patients in the Adult Hematologic Malignancy Fund of Ramathibodi

Hospital.”

Mr. Pornpak Upaisilsathaporn General Manager of Finance and Administration Department, Brother Commercial (Thailand) Ltd. revealed the details of the “Brother Beat Cancer Run 2019” charity event that the company set the target number of this year’s participants at 3,000 people and expected to raise a minimum donation of 1,000,000 baht. For this activity, the company would like to make certain that every participant and the general public are aware that every baht of the proceeds earned from this event without deduction will be given to cancer patients in the Adult Hematologic Malignancy Fund of Ramathibodi Hospital. This time, the running distance is increased for runners to challenge themselves and as a symbol of sending moral support to cancer patients to pass the turning point of life with hearts full of hope.

“The running distance is increased from 5 kilometers to 6 kilometers, from 10 kilometers to 12 kilometers, and from 21 kilometers to 24 kilometers so that runners can beat their limit, added “Mr. Pornpak Upaisilsathaporn. “The support from Thai people in the past events enables Brother’s charitable running activity to welcome more participants every year. As a result, this year, Ramathibodi Hospital has a larger fund to help two more groups of patients: those with chronic leukemia and those with acute leukemia. Originally, the fund was enough to help only patients with myeloma and lymphoma.”
